VICTIMS AND THEIR FAMILIES DESERVE TO BE HEARD AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL.

OUR AIM IS TO GIVE VICTIMS AND THEIR FAMILIES A VOICE IN SCOTLAND.

Our primary objective is to help give victims and their families a voice in convincing the Scottish Government and the Scottish legal establishment that victims matter.

We want more engagement with victims so that future generations do not go through a system that does not emphasise or treat victims with the respect and dignity they deserve.

We aim to give a voice to every victim and their family members. We will campaign to have a more transparent and accountable legal system in Scotland.

We will help give you that voice and hopefully give you the feeling that you’re not alone in the situation you have found yourself in.

We feel strongly that Scotland should have a Victims Commissioner and will be vigorously campaigning to that end. England, Wales, Northern Ireland and London all have commissioners that offer a place for victims and their families to turn to for practical help and advice but also to reflect the views that Government and those in authority need to hear.

Scotland needs and deserves that too.

There are many victim support groups to help and advise you with the emotional trauma and they do a fantastic job in supporting your emotional needs. But victims and their families also need to be heard at the highest levels when things are not as they should be.

We are a self-funded site and we will never ask for any financial assistance from you.

We exist to help you in any way we can, to get your views and opinions to those that can affect change or even if it’s just someone to talk to that listens and understands from our own personal experience of the legal system in Scotland.

We would always suggest that for any specific legal advice that you contact your own Solicitor. We are here to campaign for change to a system that, we feel, no longer represents victims effectively in Scotland.

We would like to hear your views and experiences and feel free to contact us with your story.

Victimsvoice4scotland will help you to be heard.
